Nowadays the advertisements are almost everywhere: on the streets, in the public transport and of course in the media. Some of us do not mind being flooded with producers massages but the others got irritated. The question is: should the advertisements be banned?
On the one hand, we often tend to forget that commercials are also functional: they carry information. In the society of constant hurry they became the most effective way of informing about new products. We are so used to the advertisements that we do not even try to imagine other sources of such information.
What is more, thanks to the advertisements we often pay less for some services, e.g., public transportation or tickets in the cinemas. The commercials are an additional source of income for the enterprises that enables them to earn less on their clients.
On the other hand, the most visible effect that commercial have on us is that they make us irritated. The huge amounts of ads in our post boxes or long commercials on the television are certainly not the things that we like. Due to the economical attractiveness of the advertisements we observe a constant upsurge in this domain. The enlarged pictures of goods attack us even at schools or in the theatres.
Apart from just annoyance, the advertisements have many other effects on humans. They are not only information but they also create peoples needs, often by affecting unconscious parts of our brain.
Taking everything into consideration we should not be too strict towards advertising. We can never separate the goods from the bads and that is why the balance is best. We do not want to loose such information source, do we?
